HFM Receives Food Management Magazine's "Top 100 Website For Foodservice Professionals." RSS Feed

Healthcare Food Service ManagementAlexandria, VA (November 2, 2001) - The National Society for Healthcare Foodservice Management’s website (HFM.org), a NeverLand project, was recently placed in the ”TOP 100“ websites for foodservice professionals by Food Management Magazine.

This site provides the association’s main interface to the web for visitors, potential members, and the press. It also hosts an extensive private section for members only. This site was designed to take full advantage of the CUE system. Much of the information provided by the site to visitors and members is contained in the association’s main database; to simplify the process of keeping this information up-to-date, CUE allows the client to upload their database via the web. CUE supports full customization of the online database which allows more information to be presented to members than visitors. The client is also able to add / remove press releases, add / remove job openings posted by members, and post PDF versions of their quarterly newsletter. An interface for viewing full site statistics for the current month or past months (archived monthly), updating the search engines, and managing the bulletin board system is also provided.

“We have worked with HFM for many years now to implement every new feature on their IT wish list. We are pleased that this site has received such a recognition this year from a leading industry magazine,” remarked Patrick Mills, CEO.

Food Management Magazine provides ideas for foodservice directors, managers and chefs through coverage of industry issues and events, operational topics and food trends that affect the noncommercial foodservice industry. It serves the professional, managerial, culinary, and operational interests of foodservice directors and managers, chefs and dietitians in the total noncommercial foodservice market. This market coverage includes contract management companies and self-operated facilities in the business and industry, college, university, hospital, primary/secondary schools, nursing homes, lifecare facilities, correctional and government noncommercial segments.

The National Society for Healthcare Foodservice Management (HFM) is the only professional society dedicated exclusively to senior independent non-contract healthcare foodservice management professionals. HFM’s goals are: to provide members with the tools to maintain and improve their management skills, obtain better products and services by promoting a partnership between operators and suppliers; promote networking; and share innovative ideas that help members stay on the cutting edge of healthcare foodservice management. HFM was established as a non-profit organization in 1988. We have grown from 180 members in 1991 to over 3,000 today.
